Description:  This old weed spraying tank car is on a remote, weed grown siding in Mansfield, La. (KCS). The top has been popped and its obvious that nothing has been in the car for a long time. The number may not be right, but I believe the reporting mark is (not much is legible on the car). This siding used to be the connection (until the 40's) between the KCS in Mansfield and the UP's long abandoned line between Mansfield and Shrevport . The line was even an independent railroad - the Mansfield Belt Railroad.

Description:  I went to Parris Island, SC to see my youngest son graduate from USMC boot camp. I drove up to Yemassee, which looks like c. 1974 near its train station, and had just about given up on train watching when a CSX train with two huge 16 axle flatcars came by, along with a GEGX caboose. I never could find a place to get a shadow free shot, but it was a treat to see this huge car slowly meandering down this somewhat bucolic line.

Title:  16 axle GEGX 021155
Description:  Huge General Electric equipment is hauled on GEGX 021155 just east of Yemassee. This line is not a heavily used line, and the track was somewhat overgrown with newly sprayed grass. I could not catch the cars in a shadow free area.
