BB 301 or "Moo 1" is an open air car on the excurtion train
Title:  BB 301 or "Moo 1" is an open air car on the excurtion train
Description:  While working as a car host on the 301 it was my job to tell people not to lean over the side. When I told a man not to lean over he said "cattle gates can hold a cow but not me?!" Obviously he was unaware that the car was not designed for cattle, but I still think he was just saying that to be rude. I replied, "You're damn right, you're twice the size of an average cow!"

East Washington Railway
Title:  East Washington Railway
Description:  This 45 Ton diesel switcher was built by General Electric in December 1946 for the East Washington Railway which operated near our Nation's Capital serving the community of Seat Pleasant, Maryland, and the Benning Power Plant. In 1970 the locomotive was sold to Pinto Island Metal Company in Mobile, Alabama. Republic Locomotive Works rebuilt the switcher in July 1987 and it was sold to Cogentix Power Plant in Hopewell, Virginia. The locomotive operated there until the plant ceased burning coal in 2019. The Old Dominion Chapter, NRHS, acquired the locomotive and relocated it to Hallsboro, Virginia, where it was restored to its original appearance. Since the Chapter already owns RF&P 101, this locomotive became ODCX 2101. Seen on 28 September 2024 giving train rides during the Old Dominion Chapter Open House.
