Description:  The former Darlington Station on the Ligonier Valley Railroad. The station, one of four remaining stations from the LVRR, has since been restored and now houses the Ligonier Valley Railroad Association Museum.

Latrobe Car Barn
Title:  Latrobe Car Barn
Description:  The Latrobe carbarn served the former Westmoreland County Railway, a transit line that connected Latrobe and Derry. It also served the West Penn Railways, an interurban line connecting many local towns in Southwest Pennsylvania. The barn now sits abandoned near the former Rolling Rock Brewery.

Unknown boxcar near Perryopolis
Title:  Unknown boxcar near Perryopolis
Description:  This boxcar sat just off of Route 51 near Frazier High Schools football field near Perryopolis. This was the location of the Pittsburgh & Lake Erie Railroads former Elwell Branch. It appears to be a former P&LE Boxcar, but all the reporting marks have been painted off. Google Maps imagery shows that this boxcar may have been moved from its location.

End of an era
Title:  End of an era
Description:  This may be one of the final pictures taken of the former Ligonier Valley Railroad trackage in Latrobe. Norfolk Southern had just began to tear up the tracks in Latrobe, and when I came through three weeks later, it was gone to Cedar Street.
