PAL LCL3 - Black Rock, KY |
Description: |
Three mother/slugs and a GP40-2 head south through Black Rock with empties from Mill Creek. With seven 4-axles, chasing this train just seemed like the right thing to do. Traditional PAL consists like this one are becoming increasingly rare with the "new" SD70MAC's on the scene. Enjoy it while it lasts! |

Preparing the Mighty Leviathan for Afternoon Festivities |
Description: |
Men polish the ornate steam 'gen down to the last detail in preparation of her Labor Day weekend duties on the Bluegrass Railroad Museum's "Lincoln Civil War Train". I showed up several hours early hoping to get some decent mid morning "builder's photos" and was pleased to find this unobstructed view of her sitting in perfect sun. |
