Description:  Here is page two of a six-page cover article by Bert Pennypacker entitled "Conquering The Alleghenies In 1923." It was published originally in the "National Railway Bulletin," Volume 53, Number 2, 1988, page 5. Partial Caption: "I1s No. 4605, one of 475 workhorse 2-10-0s built by Baldwin for the PRR in 1922-23, takes on a load of bituminous under the coaling facility at Denholm, Pa., 79 miles east of Altoona along the legendary Middle Division." PRR engine #4605 is an I-1SA "Decapod" built by Baldwin an I-1S during October of 1923, rebuilt in Juniata as an I-1SA in December of 1938, and retired in December of 1956 after 33 years of faithful service.
