Byerly. Here is a duplicate 35mm color slide via Fred Byerly that was taken in South Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, in 1961. The photographer is not identified. Photo Caption: "Pennsylvania Nos. 4760 and 4755, Class P-5A, South Philadelphia, Pa., 1961." PRR engines #4760 and #4755 are both P-5A (2-C-2) electrics built by General Electric and rated at 3,750 horsepower each. #4760 was constructed during October of 1932 and retired in November of 1964, while #4755 was built during April of 1932 and retired in December of 1962. This photo comes from a color slide set entitled "Electric Railroading ~ Penn Central and Pennsylvania Lines" that's produced and distributed by Blackhawk Films of Davenport, Iowa (868-32). |
