NOPSI 913 |
Description: |
New Orleans Public Service car 913 was laying over on the CANAL line at the foot of Canal Street. The car had been built by the Perley A. Thomas Car Works in 1924. After the CANAL line was discontinued on 30 May 1964, the 913 was sold to the Orange Empire Trolley Museum in California and then resold to the San Francisco Municipal Railway in May 2005. In the background on the left was the Coca-Cola District Factory, on the right was the pedestrian overpass to the Canal Street-Algiers ferry landing, and behind that was the trainshed at the Louisville & Nashville railroad station.
