Description:  Westing. Here is a photo that was published originally in Fred Westing's 1974 book entitled "Pennsy Steam And Semaphores," page 91. Partial Photo Caption: "Bridge structure as used in 1902 supports upper quadrant signals as train No. 11, westbound St. Louis Southwestern Mail passes under it. Train is climbing grade leading to Horseshoe Curve, and pulled by M1 class engine No. 6884, built by Baldwin in September 1926." Pennsylvania Railroad engine #6884 is an M-1 (4-8-2) "Mountain" built by the Baldwin Locomotive Works during September of 1926 and retired in October of 1949 after 23 years of faithful service.
