San Diego & Arizona Eastern Railway SW8 1126 at San Diego, California on February 11, 1984, Kodachrome by Chuck Zeiler. Note that in addition to the usual air hnrns, this unit is equipped with an air whistle. Number 1126 was built for the Southern Pacific in July 1953 (c/n 18356) and was equipped with dynamic brakes. The intention was to upe the SW8's on the Northwestern Pacific, however, the NWP assignments fell to SD7's
