A forty year old GP 38 can look pretty good in a new coat of paint, as this one does here on the Dodger. Note the lack of dynamic brakes. Most roads got them, a few(LIRR among them, I saw all of them in a previous life) did not. Most of the KCS 38s have them, so it was sort of a surprise that I found this one. |

I was not in position to get him passing the DPU on the road train, but was able to get this shot from adjacent US 59 of the train and all five cars rolling north. Its a matter of seconds!! |
