Once upon a time, there were four sets of tracks at this point ~ as evidenced by the wide signal bridge. This is also where an eastbound freight train that had lost its brakes coming down the New Portage Branch Line crashed into several waiting locomotives on Sunday, 06 November 1916.

Title:
PRR 9541, EF-15, 1965
Description:
Wye Switches. Here is an original photo that I took of a Pennsylvania Railroad train at the Wye Switches in Duncansville, Pennsylvania, on 3 July 1965. Shown here (R to L) are PRR engines #9541, #9686, and #7072. All were built by EMD. #9541 is an EF-15 built in 1948, but #9686 is an EH-15 built in 1949; both are rated at 1,500 horsepower. #7072 is an EFS-17M built in 1956 and rated at 1,750 horsepower. These three locomotives are pulling a 77-car mixed cargo freight train up the New Portage Branch Line to Gallitzin and points West. The wooden shanty with coal-burning stove is a left-over from the good old days when the New Portage Branch Line was double-tracked, and switches needed to be thrown at all hours of the day or night.

CR 7074 in basic black
Description:
Conrail 7074 in a line of stored engines at the massive Conway, Pennsylvania yard in the Spring of 1983 (date approx). Note the metal banding holding the body doors shut on these engines - not a good sign. I don't know much about engine history, but judging from the style of numerals in the number boards, this was perhaps originally a Pennsylvania Railroad engine.
