This locmotive traversed from Union City,GA in May of 2017 trailing behind multiple CSXT locomotives. The lettering beneath the cab reads as follows "Miss Skeeter." Followed by an image of a mosquito beneath the red lettering. The numbers on the chassis are CLC 9x104 |

Mississippi Transportation Museum No. 7 |
Description: |
Although lettered MISSISSIPPI RAILWAY, this Alco S2 was owned by the Mississippi Transportaion Museum and was being used in excursion service on the Columbia & Silver Creek (ex-ICG/IC/Gulf & Ship Island) out of Columbia. It is Alco serial number 75361, built in July 1947 as Tennessee Coal & Iron 550 for use around Birmingham. It was subsequently U.S. Steel 7 at Fairfield, Alabama; then U.S.S. Mobile River Terminal 7, and went to the Mississippi Transportation Museum in 1986. MTM sold off all of its equipment in mid-1990, and the locomotive ended up at Southeastern Railway Services in Magnolia, Mississippi. |

This locomotive was one of three (#'s 8-10) Alco S2's owned by the CGW, this one was built in June 1947 (c/n 75239), and in July 1968, became the property of the C&NW through merger. It was first renumbered 1015 (2nd), then renumbered 1085 (2nd) in December 1971, then renumbered again to 1094 (2nd) in May 1973. It was retired May 21, 1975, sold to Nekoosa Paper Co., becoming 17, and was resold to Railway Equipment Leasing Co. (RELCO), becoming RE 1064. |
