It was photographed on the Mississippi Export at Moss Point, Mississippi, possibly owned by George R. Sillcott, a dealer in used railroad equipment, although we don't know what it was doing here. |

Shown here is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #8880, an AS-6 switcher built by the American Locomotive Company in December of 1950 and rated at 660 horsepower. This photo comes from a color slide set entitled "Diesels On The Pennsylvania" that's produced and distributed by Blackhawk Films of Davenport, Iowa (819-30). |
