Title:  CNJ 21449
Description:  A partial view of CNJ Boxcar @ 21449 showing its number and CNJ imprint on the carbody. Heritage, built in 1927 by Bethlehem Steel Co. Johnstown , PA. This was one of 80 cars ordered by the CNJ, and was the first order for all steel cars of the CNJ. Length 40foot, 50 ton Class XM cars. This car was put in company service, Maint. of Way, and renumbered 92079 probably in the 1960's. It was OOS (out of Service) in Bethlehem, and acquired by the Anthracite RRHS in 1997 days before it would have been cut up for scrap. A few of thse cars remained into the Conrail era. Information about this car is from the PRRH(Phillipsburg RR Historians) website with permission .
