This photo was used in Mike Spoor's book, "CB&Q Color Guide to Freight and Passenger Equipment", and here is how it was captioned: "CB&Q Class XML-16 consistcd of 205 cars numbered #20695-20899 built by Berwick Foundry and Forge in 1969. They came equipped with National 3C cushion underframes, Evans DFB Load Dividers, an inside length of 50'6" and a 5,118 cu.ft. capafity. All of the XML-16's, like 20704 photographed in October 1979, were outfitted with 10'0" plug doors from Youngstown." |
