| Something you dont see every day while railfannning. CSXT O702 which is the Clearwater to Tampa local runs across the Clearwater municipal golf course. O702 is a semi-daily local which runs Clearwater to Tampa once daily each way. Today GP39-2 4310 and GP38-2 2704 do the duties. Power is typically 1 or 2 GP39-2's depending on train lengths. The Clearwater Sub is at it's low point as far as train traffic goes. Historically the line hosted as many as 6 passenger trains each way daily and many local and transfer freights. It is now down to O700 the Clearwater to St. Pete local and the O701 Clearwater to Tampa Local. |
