| On Independence Day 2012, while Norfolk Southerns twenty "Heritage" units were gatherid in Spencer, North Carolina, one of Union Pacifics "Heritage" units, SD70ACe 1989 painted to commemorate the Rio Grande, was crossing southern Californias San Timoten Canyon on its way from Los Angeles CA to Atlanta GA (and the engineer gives a friendly wave). Behind the 1989 are UP SD70M 4627 and Norfolk Southern Dash 9-40CW 9885!(with UP ES44AC 7602 shoving on the rear). |
