Working solo and with a little bit of sand and smoke, BNSF 9356 pushes hard and steady on the back of this coaler. The rest of her train snakes uphill before her. The 2 main lines [Joint Line] originally crossed over here. In 1919 the crossover was taken out and the two mains rerouted a bit to stay parallel but separate for that last couple miles to the divide. That reroute made for some beautiful curves that future [today's] railfans could use to photographic advantage!! |
