Note the large "C&EI" lettering on the tender. The Chicago & Eastern Illinois began replacing the letters with the loco numbers in the early 1940's. Specs - Alco-Brooks, 1912, N-1 class, 63" drivers, 175 psi boiler pressure, 28x30" cylinders, engine weight of 300,000 lb, tractive effort of 55,533 lb. The class was retired between 1947-50.
