PC 6123, SD45, 1973
PC Power. Here is an original photo that I took of a Penn Central Railroad train in Altoona, Pennsylvania, during June of 1973. Shown here is PC engine #6123, an SD45 built by GM-EMD in October of 1966 and rated at 3,600 horsepower; its original PRR number was the same. It is pulling a local freight train to Hollidaysburg with materials destined for use in the Samuel Rea Shop. The black-colored 12th Street Bridge is visible in the distance.
