Catching the light  Contributor's Pick!
I first saw this vantage point about 20 years ago when I was a driver for JB Hunt. Parking a 53 foot trailer on an overpass to shoot a train photo is not really a good idea, and I lived in NY at the time, so never was able to get back there to shoot trains. Now that I live within 90 minutes of this location, I can get there, but I find the trees have grown up, making what was an open shot pretty limited. I came across this southbound on the ex MKT and decided Id go for it anyway, trees or not. I was able to catch the train with some nose lighting, so not a total waste of time. Ill have to get here earlier in the day and see how it looks with the sun high enough to get over the trees.
