NS 117         
NS 117 passed through Huntsville today with a nice little mix of power. BNSF and Canadian mixed in with a variety of NS units. NS 4013 (AC44C6M) was leading which is one of the 18 rebuilt NS Dash 9-40C units with AC traction and GE widenose and cab.

Tom Beckett General d*mn!! Nine units!! I used to think consists like that were awesome, though hard to photograph, because you can't get the power consist in the photo, never mind any train. You did well here, though, but it is hard to see that CN unit buried in the power set. The NS from Chattanooga to Memphis is a fun line to follow, lots of interesting locations, especially the Tombigbee River bridge in Miss. We have relatives in the Atlanta area, and often will take US 72 from Memphis to and from, partly for the NS action. Home page 01-11-2023 1/11/2023 4:01:12 AM
