| On Sunday April 20, 2008 my family and I took Amtrak 63 "Maple Leaf" from New York City, NY to Syracuse, NY after completing our spring break. At about 10AM, I see one of the mechanics filling up the feul tank for AMTK 717; a GE P32AC-DM diesel locmotive. Usually, they would swap locomotives at Renseelaer, NY with a GE P42DC for its portion between Rensselaer, NY and Toronto, ON. But, for some reason, they did not switch locomotives. |
