Photo Caption: "Class P-5 electric locomotive leaving Broad Street Station, Philadelphia, January 16, 1933, with the first electric train for New York." Shown here is PRR engine #4764, a P-5A 2-C-2 built by General Electric in September of 1932, rated at 3,750 horsepower, and retired in November of 1961 after 29 years of faithful service.
