Here is a photo from page 746 in the "Centennial History Of The Pennsylvania Railroad Company: 1846-1946" that was composed by George H. Burgess & Miles C. Kennedy and published in 1949. Photo Caption: "Diesel locomotive, used in both passenger and freight service, 1945." Shown here (L to R) are PRR engines #5901 and another unit whose road number is not recorded. Both are EP-20's built by GM-EMD and rated at 2,000 horsepower each. #5901 was built in September of 1945 and is presently on display at the Railroad Museum of Pennsylvania.
