Here is page six of a 12-page camera study entitled "Horseshoe Curve Pictorial." It was published originally in the Winter 2004 issue of "The Keystone" magazine, page 34. Bottom Left Photo Caption: "I-1s #4342 with a westbound freight, circa 1920." PRR engine #4342 is an I-1SA built by the Baldwin Locomotive Works as an I-1S during 1922, rebuilt in Juniata as an I-1SA in February of 1943, and retired in November of 1951 after 29 years of faithful service. |
