TRB. Here is a duplicate 35mm color slide by an unidentified photographer that was taken near Summerdale, Pennsylvania, on 1 September 1955. Shown here is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #6825, an M-1 (4-8-2) "Mountain" built by the Baldwin Locomotive Works during September of 1926 and retired in June of 1959 after 33 years of faithful service. In this context, it's pulling an eastbound mixed-cargo freight train into the Enola Yards. |
