| This was the Kansas City Southern’s first GP40-2, the 798, at West Yard near New Orleans, mated with F3A slug 4050. The 798 was ordered as KCS 900, but its number was changed before it was completed. All four of the railroad's GP40-2's (796-799) were built with the ability to power slugs. |
