Everyday. Here is an original 35mm color slide by an unidentified photographer that was taken in Hollidaysburg, Pennsylvania, on 13 August 1976. Shown here (L to R) are Conrail engines #7870 and two more units whose numbers are not recorded. All were built by GM-EMD. #7870 is a GP38 built in January of 1971 as Penn Central number "7870" and then owned by Conrail under the same road number. Their crew is preparing to pull a mixed-consist freight train to Altoona and elsewhere. |
