Sitting quietly in the Calgary's Alyth Yard is one of only three 0-10-0 locos built by the CP Angus Shops in 1914. These three were the only 0-10-0's on their entire roster (W1a class). Loco #6952 served faithfully until being scrapped in February of 1957 after 43 years. Original specs - 51" drivers, 200 psi boiler pressure, 23.5x30" cylinders, engine weight of 241,000 lb, impressive tractive effort of 55,225 lb. J.R.
