Built by the Budd Company in 1953 full dome lounge car for use on the premier San Francisco Chief. The dome has 57 lounge seats and a lower level lounge, bar and crew quarters. When passenger service declined, ATSF sold the car to the Auto-Trainin 1971. When the Auto-Train went bankrupt, the car was sold to C.C. Potter. Finally it was sold to the Westours Company for private travel trains in Alaska (renamed Kobuk). In 2007, this car was sold to the Iowa Pacific roster based in Chicago Amtrak Yard. |
