Portraits 1. Here is a diesel locomotive portrait via Arthur B. Johnson that was taken in Englewood, Illinois, on 27 June 1949. Shown here (L to R) are Pennsylvania Railroad engines #5852 and another unit whose road number is not recorded. Both are EP-20's built by GM-EMD and rated at 2,000 horsepower each. #5852 was constructed in September of 1947. This passenger train is stopped at Englewood Union Station on the first leg of its eastward journey to Pittsburgh. (#12 of 20) |
