Shown here is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #6401, a J-1A (2-10-4) "Texas" built in Juniata during May of 1943 and retired in April of 1958 after just 15 years of revenue service. Note that several driving rods have been removed in preparation for scrapping. (#21 of 40) |
