Here is the fourth of 32 color prints of calendar art works that were commissioned by the Pennsylvania Railroad from 1925 through 1958. Shown here is Grif Teller's painting entitled "Harnessing The Plane To The Iron Horse." It was published originally in 1929. Depicted here is PRR engine #5400, a K-4S (4-6-2) "Pacific" built by the Baldwin Locomotive Works during January of 1927 and retired in September of 1956 after 29 years of faithful service. It's Baldwin's first Pennsy K-4S.
