Caltrain 922 shoves a train out of San Jose on a beautiful day in early June. 922 is one of three F40PH-2Cs built by MPI in Boise, Idaho. These engines were built in 1998, supplementing a fleet of 20 EMD-built units. Engines of this type and similar variants also operate on Altamont Corridor Express, Coaster, and many other commuter rail operators. |
