| Finally just after sunrise I made it to the Joint Line. Started the day at Woodland Jct where CSX and UP split. And I waited. And I waited. And I waited. After 2 hours of waiting, my impatience got the best of me. With the shortened days I came to the conclusion that it would be better for me to find trains than it would be for me to wait on them, so I decided to go west to the IC to see if I could find some action (and better power). On my way there I heard the southbound Illini trip the defect detector at Clifton, so I decided to set up shop at Onarga for it. About 15 minutes later the Illini raced south with the traditional Charger on the front. And of course, then was when action on the Joint Line began to happen... |
