Shown here is Penn Central engine #6970, an AS616 built by Baldwin-Lima-Hamilton for the Pennsylvania Railroad as number "8970" in June of 1951, rated at 1,600 horsepower, and retired in July of 1966 after just 15 years of revenue service.
