CTA 100th Anniversary Commemorative Train |
Description: |
In 1992, to celebrate the "L"'s centennial, the CTA prepared a project, led by Bruce Nelson, to apply S.S.R.T. type colors and graphics to a 1964 Pullman 2000-series car. Although these cars obviously never originally carried this scheme, the car (2007-2008) emerged as Heritage Cars 1892-1992. They toured the Loop for the centennial celebration, then served as a customer service train. The cars are on display at the CTA's Skokie Shops www.chicago-l.org/liveries/index.html 3701 W Oakton St Skokie, IL 60076 |
